It has been brought to our attention that the mailing we sent out to the 2007 registration list did not in fact reach everyone. We are sending out several of these because we know that they can get stuck in spam blockers and other such email filters can get in the way. It also could me something here, shocking as that might sound. So if you did not get a letter you can go to the site now and pay. If you are not registered you still can,it puts you on a wait list that will be contacted after the 16th of this month. I promise!
Please pay close attention when you are filling out the info on you accountant. If you have any problem at all or do not understand please contact us sockclub@bluemoonfiberarts.com or 1-866-802-9687
thanks to L-B for bringing this to our attention and for all of your continued patience and support
It is snowing here this morning!!

Close to attention to your account not your accountant, what can I say it is early and at the best of times I am not the best typist or proof reader. And I must be feeling very guilty about canceling that meeting yesterday with my account-ant!

SEND SNOW!!!! 64 degrees in January is not conducive to knitting Winter’s Eve socks!

I second LB’s request to PLEASE SEND SNOW!!! It is wrong for it to be almost 60 in January.

LB, I’m in VA, too. I agree about the weather! This is craziness. I have two lovely new pairs of knitted-by-me woolly socks (Knitting on the Road “Friday Harbor” pattern in Toasty Toes “Renaissance” and Fiber Trends “Walking Away” cabled in Knit Picks merino “Pansy”), and I haven’t been able to wear them. I did wear my newest Opal socks (a feather-and-fannish pattern in pastel Petticoat) once, but my feet got so hot!
I wasn’t in the freshman class of the Rockin’ club–just found BMFA in October!–but I’m rockin’ and weavin’ in “Xmas Rock” now (3/4 of sock #1 done, plus the cuff of sock #2). I *love* the colorway. I also have one 1/2-done sock of the Knitting on the Road “Denmark” pattern in Seal Rock. I’m rapidly becoming addicted. I’ve only knitted the medium weight so far, and I have one more skein of it (Highway whatever-number)….then I have lightweight Jingle Bell Rock, Chapman Springs, and the Puck’s Mischief that’s on its way now. Oy!
I can’t wait for the new club to start. I may have to quit knitting lace shawls just to keep up with the new socks….Nah, I’ll find a way to do both. Of course, that may sink my ambitions to *ever* finish another sweater!

It’s in the 50’s here in PA and I LOVE it! I hate snow…even most of the 30+ years I spent in the Southwest US, I exprienced snow. No problem wearing wool socks in this weather, here! And Tina — I had gotten 2 emails from you guys about club payment a few minutes apart! Guess there’s a burp in the system!
Sophomore Year here we come!

I want snow. Maybe your snow will head north and we here in the Seattle area will see a bit of white.
I just paid for the 2007 club using the account page and it worked like a charm.
Thank you!

SENDING SNOW RIGHT NOW—– LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 4:31 am
Thanks for trying,Tina! And Tan also turned her snowblower our way, but, alas, it was all rain by the time it reached Virginia!

Oh, yes, there is rain here. Great galloping torrential downpours of it where I am. No wool socks today, for sure–it’s 50+ outside, 75+ in my office (ugh, is it hot), and I don’t want feet that smell like wet sheep.
I think I need to start burning offerings to the Gods of the Government Sector I’m a Contractor For to move our entire “industry” to someplace like Montana. I want snow, and a place with more horses than people, and fewer psycho drivers who never learned to drive in rain. I’m dreaming.
But, on a happy BMFA note, I started the toe decreases on my first Rock and Weave (I say again, Xmas Rock is a GORGEOUS colorway). Also, I’ve started the foot of my first Seal Rock sock (also GORGEOUS). I may have two not-matched socks for show-and-share at my Monday knitting guild meeting!
